Full Moon Meditation
“The energies uniquely available at the full moon when rightly understood, received and transmitted in meditation can be instrumental in helping humanity towards its spiritual goal as an integrated, aligned centre of consciousness within the body of the One in Whom we live and move and have our being. This is the essential objective of monthly full moon meditation meetings. The moon does not influence the work, it is the fully-lighted orb of the moon that provides a free and unhindered alignment between our planet and the sun, the solar centre, the energy source for all life on Earth. At such times we can make a definite approach to God, the Creator, the centre of life and intelligence. This realisation is part of humanity’s ancient intuitive understanding and verified by many religious festivals held around the moon or a zodiacal constellation. “(adapted from – Meditation at the Full Moon – Alice A. Bailey)
The high mark of meditation is service to a universal ideal for the benefit of all life. Serving groups of men and women meet regularly around the world at the time of the full moon each month to serve humanity and all manner of life on earth through meditation. Group meditations have been held for decades so this service has been built up for over a long period of time and has gathered energy and momentum. These groups of world servers form channels through which energy enters our planet opening new levels of consciousness on our planet.
Meditation is a powerful service using the mind as a channel to receive the energies of light, love and the will to good and directing these forces to wherever it is needed on our planet. The full moon provides opportunities for groups to assist with the unfolding of the Divine Plan on earth through meditation. Each full moon has its combined unique qualities of energies specific to its constellation and accompanying planets. These energies stimulate and influence certain spiritual qualities in group meditation evolving group love, light, unity and the potency of their world service. There are 3 Major Spiritual Festivals in the Annual Calendar of the 12 Zodiac Full Moons that are the high mark of spiritual activities due to the heighten energies released during these 3 consecutive months. The Easter Festival falls on the full moon of Aries. It is celebrated as the festival of the Living Christ the embodiment of the Love of God, celebrated in the West. The Wesak Festival falls on the full moon of Taurus, and it is celebrated in the East as the Festival of the Buddha, the spiritual intermediary between the highest spiritual centre, Shamballa, and the Hierarchy. The Buddha is the expression of the wisdom of God, the embodiment of light and the indicator of divine purpose. The Festival of Goodwill is the Festival of the spirit of humanity aspiring towards God, seeking conformity with the will of God and dedicated to the expression of right human relations. These 3 major festivals establish the three divine aspects of Deity, while the remaining full moons constitute lesser festivals and are just as important.
