The condition of your mind and attitude affects every area of your life, from the relationship you have with your self, to how you relate to others and the environment you live in. Mental well-being is not an option, it is essential to your happiness, health and quality of life. From the moment we are born we are conditioned to understand and see life in a certain way. How we perceive life in our adult years begin in childhood as well as what we have inherited from our ancestry and past lives. This conditioning continues in our learning years in the education system and generally the influence of people in our lives in the community we live in.
Meditation is an internal journey to knowing and understanding who you truly are outside of all that human life has conditioned you to be. It is the final journey every human will make when the seeking for identity and self gratification can no longer be satisfied by the outer world. For most that time is when the mind has pushed them to the brink of constant stress, anxiety, self-sabotage, worry, fear, break down in relationships and disconnection from themselves. There are also others who have taken this journey as a continuing process of Self development and personal or spiritual growth. But the reason doesn’t matter, what matters is your desire and attitude to learn, apply with consistency and experience for yourself what millions of people have found and are enjoying in this ancient practice of Meditation.

Its not as daunting as it sounds. Every journey begins with gathering supplies i.e. maps, information, processes and techniques to help you take your first step on that path. This workshop is a starting point of gathering your supplies and learning how to use them in real practices of guided meditations from seasoned experienced facilitators who live and breath in meditation as a way of life. Preparation is essential to success and this workshop is your preparation and training ground to building a healthy mind that supports all that you want to experience and be in your life. It removes the daunting from exploring something new and with experienced and supportive guidance we help you explore and enjoy meditation in the company of like minded people.
Every person that comes to learn Meditation has arrived with some negative mental conditioning, emotional trauma, some physical ailments or discomfort and negative habits and behavior. This basic fact is reassuring as your companions during the workshop have arrived with similar symptoms and desires to heal and create a healthy mind. Group sharing and learning is powerful, it accelerates understanding as well as creating a nurturing caring space to explore your Self.
So lets get started
To meet the diversity of needs this workshop is offered in 4 Meditation and Mindfulness Wellness Packages. All packages include the workshop and a Loyalty Card of 10 guided meditation classes at the Centre by the facilitators of your workshop building on that relationship. Natural therapies are included in some packages to provide one on one Counselling, mentoring, guidance and healing that are equally important on this journey. The program is delivered in two half day 3.5 hour workshops to allow time to integrate and cement your learning in practice. Once you have completed the workshop you have all the tools, knowledge and experience to begin your daily practice at home. You will be added to a private Meditation for Beginners Resource Hub Facebook we stock with guided meditations and post contents to support your practice and grow your healthy mind. The Hub is interactive where you can share your experience with your travel companions and ask questions the group or your facilitators will respond to. Joining the Hub is optional but many have found it helpful as it keeps them connected and the meditations help them put their learning into practice with ease. Its recommended that you activate your loyalty card by choosing a meditation class or classes to attend at the Centre to continue to grow and support your home practice. You will receive a text reminder and all you do is text back to book your seat or ignore the text. The 10 meditation classes are a continuation of your program with Iva and Neil your facilitators.
The workshop program is an integration of spiritual knowledge, science evidence and modern application of techniques in real scenarios enabling to you to experience the health and mental benefits of meditation and mindfulness. We share our own real-life experiences of how meditation has transformed our lives and build more adaptable, resilient, flexible, open and positive mindsets that are still growing as Meditation is an evolving practice expanding Self awareness.
YOUR PROGRAM: PART 1
- Introduction to Meditation and Mindfulness, a workout for mental health and well-being
- Ancient history of Meditation and its internal focus and purpose
- Mindfulness, a practice of paying attention and being present
- The basic science of Meditation and Mindfulness and its effect on the Mind-Body System
- Discuss how it turns off the “Flight or Fight Alarm System
- Discuss how it turns on the “Rest and Digest” System
- Discuss and apply the basic processes and techniques of Meditation:
- Sitting and hand Postures
- Deep Yoga Breathing
- Exercise - Body Scan Meditation to apply the breath and posture techniques cultivating awareness, mindfulness and presence
- Discuss Mantra Meditation and their root
- Exercise – Om Mantra Meditation building on the breath and posture and paying attention techniques
- Discuss the importance of a routine date and time to begin a Morning Meditation practice.
- Exercise – Morning Meditation integrating the processes and techniques learnt in today’s half day workshop.
- Summary of today’s workshop. The Morning Meditation will be your routine practice to consolidate all your learning before Part 2 of the Meditation and Mindfulness Workshop for Beginners.
YOUR PROGRAM: PART 2
- An overview of Part 1 of the Workshop and field any questions you may have in relation to what you have learnt or the Morning Meditation itself.
- Discuss the basis of Chakra or Energy Centres of the Body and their relation to Meditation, Mindfulness, Well-being and Spiritual development
- Exercise – A Visual Chakra Balance Meditation introducing singing bowls in a gentle meditation connecting to the 7 Energy Centres, feeling their unique qualities, their location in the body and working with their colours.
- Introducing crystal energies as a tool in a meditation practice
- Exercise – Loving Metta or Kindness Meditation holding a Selenite Wand to explore your sensitivity to energy and learn how to attune to their subtle vibrations.
- Discuss Energy Cleansing of living and personal spaces supporting your practice and overall well-being.
- Some of the cleansing tools you will learn about are:
- Burning a Sage smudge or Palo Santo stick
- Play a singing bowl or other sound instruments and feel how their sound and vibration affects you and the space you are sitting in, cultivating sensitivity to energy.
- Essential oils for cleansing space
- What salt and selenite lamps do? - Setting up a meditation space at home to support your meditation practice
- Exercise – Applying some of the tools and processes you have learnt today in an Evening Meditation to compliment your Morning Meditation
- Summary of the workshop and where to from here.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
The Meditation and Mindfulness Workshop component of the packages can be transferred to another date if you are unable to attend a booked workshop. Therapies and loyalty cards can be used anytime.

Dress Mode and what to bring
Dress comfortably, our Centre has heating and cooling system. For hygiene reasons please bring a throw rug if you feel the cold as you are lying down or sitting during meditation. Meditation Mats, cushions and chairs are provided. Bring a water bottle and anything else to personalise your experience ie cushion, crystals sacred objects.
Parking
We have free parking in the front of the Centre and on the street. Please park anywhere other than car bays that are assigned to businesses we share the premises with.
