Prenatal Meditation and Mindfulness
Nurturing the first connection between mother and baby
Prenatal Meditations are to support mental and emotional wellbeing for mothers throughout their pregnancy stage. Motherhood is the most sacred journey in a woman’s life. For most it can be a daunting, overwhelming and fearful experience and especially if it is your first baby. The journey to motherhood will create many changes in your relationship from shifting priorities to rearranging of living spaces to accommodate your child to putting in place a financial plan to support the time you will spend with baby. Your thoughts and emotions are intimately felt and experienced by your baby. Your mental health is an essential part of yourself and baby care health maintenance routine. Incorporating a Prenatal Meditation practice into your daily routine can be an incredible tool to help you have healthier, happier babies, while making the experience of pregnancy easier and enjoyable, for you, baby and your family.
Since the Monad Centre opened in 2015 we have met and supported young new expectant mothers attending Meditation and Mindfulness classes for well-being and those relationships still continue today. As a Holistic Counselling Mind Body Medicine therapist I see women in their prenatal to various mothering stage providing guidance, life skills and techniques to assist in the management of their mental and emotional health to enable them to enjoy the natural state of motherhood. The reward in supporting these women is seeing and being a part of their mother and child connection. To build healthy relationships between mothers and their babies at this pivotal time paves the way to producing healthy children to healthy adults living at their optimum potentials feeding into a flourishing healthy community.
