Terms of Reference
ABN: 47-559-748-678 | Effective Date: November 2025
These Terms of Reference outline the values, responsibilities, and ethical framework guiding all services provided by the Monad Centre of Balance. They operate alongside the Centre’s Cancellation, Refund, Privacy & Communication Policy.
1. Purpose
The Monad Centre of Balance provides therapeutic, mentoring, and educational services that promote personal healing, self-awareness, and spiritual development. These Terms clarify mutual responsibilities to maintain a safe, ethical, and transparent relationship between practitioner and client.
2. Scope
These Terms apply to all individual therapies, transformation programs, mentoring sessions, meditation classes, and group or community events conducted in person or online.
3. Values
The Monad Centre is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and inclusive practice. Services are offered with compassion, respect, confidentiality, and commitment to the client’s healing journey.
4. Roles & Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for attending sessions on time, providing accurate information, and notifying the Monad Centre of any changes to health or wellbeing that may affect participation. Cancellations or rescheduling must follow the Centre’s Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Practitioners are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, professional standards, and duty of care consistent with their training and ethical obligations.
5. Confidentiality & Privacy
All client information shared during sessions is treated as confidential and managed in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles. Confidentiality may only be breached where there is a legal obligation to do so, such as risk of harm to self or others. For details on how personal information and communication data are managed, refer to our Cancellation, Refund, Privacy & Communication Policy.
6. Therapeutic Boundaries
Sessions are conducted within clear professional and ethical boundaries. Physical contact is limited to therapeutic techniques where consent is given. Communication outside of sessions is limited to administrative or follow-up purposes only. Social media connections and personal interactions outside the therapeutic space are not encouraged to preserve professional integrity.
7. Booking & Attendance
Bookings may be made via the website, email, or phone. Clients are expected to arrive on time for scheduled sessions. Late arrivals may shorten session time to maintain schedule integrity. Full details of booking, payment, and refund conditions are outlined in our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy.
8. Participation & Safety
Clients participate voluntarily and are responsible for their wellbeing during and after sessions. Monad Centre reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where a client’s needs fall outside the scope of the Centre’s expertise or where safety concerns arise. In cases of mental health crisis or risk, clients will be referred to appropriate emergency or medical services.
9. Complaints & Feedback
Feedback and complaints are welcomed as part of ongoing quality improvement. Clients are encouraged to first discuss concerns directly with the practitioner. If unresolved, written feedback can be submitted to [email protected]. Refer also to our Client Feedback Policy for more details.
10. Consumer Rights & Limitation of Liability
Monad Centre of Balance operates in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes your statutory rights. While every effort is made to ensure a safe and beneficial experience, outcomes depend on individual engagement and readiness for change. The Centre and its practitioners are not liable for indirect loss or damage arising from participation in any service.
11. Review & Amendments
These Terms are reviewed annually to ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards. Updated versions are published on the Monad Centre website and provided to clients as needed.
12. Acknowledgement
Engaging in services at the Monad Centre of Balance confirms that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms of Reference, including the accompanying Cancellation, Refund, Privacy & Communication Policy.
